Sinéad Cusack is the wife of Jeremy Irons.

Cusack is an Irish actress.

She was born on February 18, 1948, in Dalkey, Ireland.

Cusack began her acting career at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin.

After performing several theatre works in Dublin, Cusack moved to London in  1975 to join the Royal Shakespeare Company where she won the Critics’ Circle and Evening Standard Awards for her performance in Sebastian Barry’s Our Lady of Sligo.

Cusack then made her Broadway debut in 1984 playing Roxane in Anthony Burgess’ translation of Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac.

Her television and film credit includes North Sea Connection
(since 2022), Hoffman (1970), Stealing Beauty (1996), Waterland (1992), Stealing, Marcella (since 2016), North and South (2004), and others.

Cusack married co-actor Jeremy Irons on March 28, 1978.

Through their union, the couple has been blessed with two children, Samuel “Sam” Irons, a photographer who also co-starred with their father in Danny, the Champion of the World, and Maximilian “Max” Irons, an actor.

Both of their sons have appeared in films with their father.
