Sinéad Cusack, birth name, Jane Moira Cusack, was born on 18 February 1948, in Dalkey, Ireland, to Mary Margaret "Maureen" Kiely and Cyril James Cusack. She is 78 years as of 2021.
Cusack is an Irish descendant. Her father, Cyril James, was born to an Irish father and English mother. Both of her parents were Theatre actors. Following her parents' footsteps, Cusack started acting at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. In 1975, she moved to London to join the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Career
Sinéad's first big break in acting was with Peter Sellers in the film Hoffman in 1970, while she was still acting at Abbey Theatre. She guest-starred as Jenny Lindley in an episode of The Persuaders! starring Roger Moore and Tony Curtis in 1971.
She then moved to London in 1975 and made appearances in three episodes of the TV show Quiller as Roz. She debuted on Broadway in 1984, performing as Roxane in Anthony Burgess' translation of Edmond Rostand's original Cyrano de Bergerac with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
