**Spoiler Alert** This post contains major plot details from Tuesday night's episode of NCIS.
AfterElton has written at length about CBS and its appalling track record of including Lgbt characters in its scripted programming. Ae reviewed the major networks back in 2008, noting the invisibility of Glbt characters on CBS's scripted programming. Last year GLAAD gave the network a failing grade in its Network Responsibility Index for the 2008-09 season for gay visibility, noting that just 5% of the network's 1,148 hours of primetime programming was Lgbt-inclusive. CBS continued in its failing ways for the 2009-2010 season.
Responding to her network's poor performance, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler told AfterElton in 2008 that network policy was one of inclusion and that a goal of CBS's programming is "to reflect what our audience looks like." The issue of Glbt representation was important to her personally, she said, because of her background in the New York...

Last night's terrific NCIS, "Recruited," proved again why the show is TV's most watched and why Leroy Jethro Gibbs is easily one of TV's most beloved characters.
Perceptive, steadfast and compassionate, our man pegged last night's mystery for the hate crime it was and wasn't about to let politics stand in the way of justice.
The scene at the recruitment office, set to the music of Lady Antebellum's "Hello World," was powerful and profound in its simplicity as the episode's denouement.
Standing in solidarity with Paul, but without overstepping his bounds, Gibbs accompanied the teenager so that his dreams of serving America could be realized.
Whereas Vance is subject to backlash from the military bureaucracy, Gibbs' job is simply to be Gibbs, and the way he conducted himself here was vintage Jethro.
The recent repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell gave NCIS an opening to discuss the topic, but...

"Recruited" shines a light on two issues needing illumination. The first is the policy of "Don't ask, don't tell." The other is Alzheimer's disease. This week's NCIS treats both well.
Don't Ask
Dr. Walter Magnus is the wonderful, funny Bob Newhart. Magnus returns to the offices of NCIS. He was the predecessor to Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum) and is there as his guest.
Recruiter Navy Petty Officer First Class Simon Craig has taken a big tumble down some high school's stairs. He has multiple contusions and a crushed skull. He was also trampled by someone wearing a work boot. A sliver of wood was found in Craig's wound.

We're exploring a number of scientific fields on tonight's episode of Brothers and Sisters, but we can bet chemistry between people is high on the list. There will be returns and refreshing new romances for the series' new installment, which is titled "The Science Fair."
A very busy Nora (Sally Field) has another problem on her hands, but she's been waiting for this day to come for a long time. Someone she hasn't seen in ages knocks on the Walker family door, and she opens it to the sight of Simon Craig (Jon Tenney).

An old face is back into Nora's life and he takes a different approach. In the next "Brothers & Sisters", Dr. Simon Craig who swooned Nora with his charm and left with her money just before Justin and Rebecca's wedding, is knocking on her door one morning. However, Sarah finds something peculiar about him.
Meanwhile, Sarah's interest is piqued by a divorced dad at Paige's school and Justin finds the key to his learning challenges. Called "The Science Fair", the second episode of 2010 will air on January 10 with Jon Tenney reprising his role as Simon.
Simon Craig is a character who was introduced in the September episode of the drama when Nora accompanied Kitty to meet an oncologist. Simon was a doctor who volunteered at the clinic and although he's much younger than her, they embarked on a relationship. It was then found out that Simon's license has been revoked and...

Last night's Brothers & Sisters featured 3-4 different story lines that loosely intertwined, and which were all entertaining, save for Rebecca's, which felt cliched and predictable.
Click here for a full recap of "The Wig Party." Below, we offer a brief analysis of why each of the Walker family stories from November 8 worked for us, or in one case, did not.
Kitty, Robert & Nora
The star of this episode, if you had to single one out of this consistently diverse and talented cast, would obviously be Calista Flockhart, whose own idea it was for Kitty to swear off chemo and explore alternative treatments for her non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Sarah and Nora are stressed about this decision and throw themselves into getting her to reconsider, but all Kitty wants is to get dolled up for Nora's Open Doors benefit.
There, Kitty's hair starts to fall out and she starts to fall apart emotionally.

It's been a tough few weeks for Nora on Brothers & Sisters. That's what happens when your daughter is diagnosed with cancer.
But the Walker matriarch catches a break this Sunday in the form of Dr. Simon Craig.
Played by The Closer's Jon Tenney, he'll provide a nice distraction for Sally Field's character.
"It's the beginning of Nora trying to find some balance in her life in terms of dealing her daughter," said showrunner David Marshall Grant. "It's the beginning of a source of hope for Nora, and reminds the audience, despite what's going on, there's always hope in the future."
Watch a clip of Nora meeting Simon below and remember to return to TV Fanatic soon after "The Wig Party" concludes for a full recap/review:
