Full review coming soon.
Here it is. The quintessential Rhode Island film. Everything about this production is the most mid-2000s-“watching a random DVD at your grandparents’s house”-sleepy-summer-vacation-tourist-town-kind of movie, seemingly made exclusively for blue collar workers in their mid-fifties in terms of general mood, humor, characterization, etc but it’s managed to transcend that. I have such intense nostalgia for the vibe that I don’t even care how absolutely nothing it all is.
Also despite the entire movie feeling like it’s on Ambien, the last 20 minutes manage to go completely off the rails. I’ll edit together a highlight reel soon
