10 Superhero Shows That Deserve Comic Book Continuations
Fan-favorite superhero shows like Spectacular Spider-Man and Legends of Tomorrow could easily continue in the comics, much like Smallville and Buffy.

Titans was one of the founding series in the now-defunct DC Universe streaming platform. The series presents a darker take on the Teen Titans, a group of younger superheroes and sidekicks to members of the Justice League. The team is led by Dick Grayson, Batman's former sidekick Robin, who now goes out on his own as the vigilante Nightwing.

While some fans took issue with the try-hard dark themes of Titans' first season, the series really found its groove in later seasons. The show rapidly expands to include as many DC Comics characters as possible, bringing them together to explore fun storylines that are sure to please fans of the source material. It may not be the most consistent DC series, but Titans is surprisingly engaging when given the chance to grow on viewers. All four seasons are currently available to stream on Max.

24 Batwoman Gives Gotham City A New Protector

Though Its Run Didn't Last, Batwoman Had Potential

IMDb Rating:

3.6

Rotten Tomatoes Score:

83%

Batwoman presents a Gotham City in chaos after the sudden disappearance of its Caped Crusader, the vigilante known as Batman. When Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) discovers that her cousin, Bruce Wayne, was secretly Batman, she takes up his crusade to protect the city. As Batwoman, she prowls the streets of Gotham in search of criminals and supervillains.

While the series had some potential, Batwoman went downhill fast when it lost its lead after only one season. Choosing to replace Kate Kane rather than recast Rose (though the character was eventually recast anyway), Batwoman pivoted hard to include the introduction of its new main hero, Javicia Leslie's Ryan Wilder. Unfortunately, the show never really recovered from this early obstacle and fizzled out after only three seasons. Even so, as a part of the Arrowverse, Batwoman warrants at least one watchthrough for fans of the DC television universe.

Stargirl Season 4 Would Have Crossed Over With Titans For a Major Multiverse Story
Stargirl's Brec Bassinger reveals that there were plans for Season 4 to crossover with other DCTV shows like Titans and The Flash.

DC's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore, a high school student who becomes a superhero after coming in contact with the Cosmic Staff of the superhero Starman. Now masquerading as the superhero Stargirl, Courtney fights evils that threatens her planet--and the entire universe.

Loosely connected to both the Arrowverse and the DC Universe shows, Stargirl manages to maintain an independence that many superhero shows connected to larger universes often lack. The series mostly flew under the radar, but was strongly hailed by its loyal viewers, who couldn't get enough of the high-flying antics and superhero fun that permeated all three seasons.
