Crunchyoll has been buggy as hell for a while now; pirating is the way to go nowadays

When they put their new player it was great for awhile but the last few months man has it gone downhill that's not even counting them shutting down rightstuf which pissed me off now I got to buy everything from Amazon
I remember using Crunchyroll 3 years ago, I really had a bad experience, shame to see it hasn't ever improved. Always buffering issues smh. Pirate watching anime is the way to go cuz you can find all kinds of anime you want instead of parts and region locked ones.

Was rewatching re:zero a few years ago and realized all gore was censored on crunchyroll version. What a regard I feel like, paying to be treated like a fucking child. Dropped my sub, never bothered again.
Unfortunately most of the time that's just the broadcast version being censored for incentive to buy the blue ray but still annoying you can thank the Karen's that ran the broadcasting regulations in the 90's for that
nah the first one aired was the censored one and it took few yrs to launch bluray version and only the bluray version has the uncensored one (this applies to most anime [not all] especially ecchi ones) only pirates update their site (may vary depending on site) since the legal ones aren't legally allowed to upload bluray content or else the bluray disk wont sell at all.

I'm not sure about international laws, but I use it in the US without a VPN, technically you're not breaking the law, just watching videos. But it's also easy to get a free VPN.

Ah thats a torrent site, I work with scripts to automatically rip from various services to redirect to a server; can't do that with torrents due to unreliable configurations, meta data, and download times. After a show has finished airing I simply scrape from other locations, or physical media if I want higher quality.
I mean I never had any trouble with blurry video on crunchyroll but I‘m also setting up plex on my homeserver cuz why not

10$ dollars??!! Damn in Pakistan Crunchyroll premium costs like 250 Pkr which isnt even a dollar 😂... Hell the annual cr package is 2500/2200Pkr which is still less than a fucking 10 Dollar. Even netflix premium costs less than that and has a decent catalogue of Anime...
Regional pricing in America they charge a butt ton of money Netflix premium with HD is nearly $20 a month now same with hulu

I tried their sub for a month to see what it was like. The fact there was very limited dubbed (I watch a lot of tv during work) for myself and so. I'll watch subbed as that's what I grew up on. But the fact that I have 27tb if free space makes it unjustifiable. So fuck their subscription fees

It took them years to switch their video player from Flash to HTML5, and their support is so stupid, I used to pay for it but trying to use Crunchyroll is torture.

Was trying to watch JJK and got some bullshit DRM error about device limit bug, even though I was only trying to watch on a single device. I tried troubleshooting it for literally an hour until I gave up and watched it on a pirate stream with literally 0 hassle. Why was I paying a sub at all?? Canceled so fucking fast right after.
I saw Spy Family was on Netflix (1 season, like most of their anime in the UK) so thought I'd do a rewatch. Made it about six episodes before I realised that they weren't subtitling most of the on screen text. Clown show. Pirates doing a better job than billionaire companies. See also Komi Can't Communicate, which was cut (I just edited this because I originally wrote "cute off") off at the knees on Netflix.
Now Crunchyroll, I used to be a Premium but the app on Nvidia Shield (and I assume all Android) flat out wouldn't work during peak times. I would happily, no reservations, pay for Crunchyroll if I could actually watch what I want, when I want but struggling, scrappy owner Sony is obviously having difficulty keeping all the balls in the air while all that cash piles up, getting in the way.
Never really had any issues with Crunchyroll besides not having shows I want to watch. That's when I go to the seas. Although, their pricing is getting up there.

Honestly I just hate it because they barely have any anime on there, so much is missing that I want to watch that isn't available in my country like Steins;Gate and Fullmetal Alchemist... I only use it bc it has a chromecast feature built in :/
