After welcoming Ganpati home, Shilpa Shetty visits bereaved Akshay Kumar to offer condolences

Sticking to tradition, Shilpa Shetty welcomed Ganpati Bappa’s idol home on Wednesday, ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi. While Raj Kundra is absent, the actress and her son Viaan were seen performing the rituals and welcoming the idol home. Soon after, Shilpa Shetty stepped out to visit bereaved Akshay Kumar. On Wednesday evening, the actress was snapped arriving at Akshay’s Juhu home, to offer condolence after the actor lost his mother Aruna Bhatia.

Bollywood actorJohn Abraham was also spotted at Akshay’s house, where he had arrived to pay his last respects to the bereaved actor. A grief-struck Akshay had shared on Twitter yesterday, "She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti."
Incidentally, today is Akshay Kumar’s birthday. Missing his mother on the occasion, the actor had shared, “Would have never liked it this way but am sure mom is singing Happy Birthday to me from right up there! Thanks to each one of you for your condolences and wishes alike. Life goes on.”
