West Ham have signed Canada defender Shelina Zadorsky on loan from Tottenham Hotspur for the rest of the season.

The 31-year-old has made 56 Women's Super League (WSL) appearances for Spurs in three and a half years.

She has won 95 caps since making her Canada debut in 2013 and was part of the side which won gold at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

Zadorsky has previously worked under West Ham manager Rehanne Skinner during their time together at Tottenham.

"I'm delighted to be joining West Ham United," Zadorsky said.

"Being a defender, I hope I can bring a new presence to the backline and ultimately help the team to more clean sheets in the second half of the season.

"I think the club has so much potential. I've also worked with Rehanne before and we have a great relationship. She's a coach that knows how to get the best out of me.

"I feel like this is a really exciting group and I've already been welcomed in by everyone here. I'm really looking forward to getting started."

West Ham are currently 11th in the WSL table, above the relegation place on goal difference, while Tottenham are sixth.
