August 26 marked the beginning of overdose awareness week. We take time to better understand overdoses and what to do and look for when someone is impacted.

We meet the candidates for state house and senate for the 2022 election. Republican David Jones is running for state senator in District 27 which includes parts of Bennett, Jackson, Oglala Lakota, & Pennington Counties.

We talk with South Dakota hall of fame inductee Shantel Krebs, Krebs spent over a decade as an elected official and was the first woman to chair the House Transportation and Ag committees.

Plus, the South Dakota State Fairis underway. More than180 thousand visitors are expected to travel to Huron this weekend for a celebration of South Dakota culture and community. We talk with South Dakota State Fair Assistant Manager Candi Briley and chislic vender Kerry Kepplinger.
