It is quite a lovely spot to explore, learn, and spend some time outside. We stopped here on the way from München to Italy and this provided a welcomed break. Beautiful surroundings and pleasant people working the grounds. Nice little gift shop and opportunities to dive deep and learn more about the history.

The exterior and grounds of the palace are beauiful and simple a great place to stroll. The interior in which they are refurbishing could use some more informative displays. We had the audio guide and I found myself clicking through the rooms and numbers faster than perhaps needed to. Very easy to get to and plan to spend around 2 hours here. Great location for pictures.

A fairytale palace. Beautifully kept with access to the rooms and gardens. A must-see destination. Tickets available online so it’s very easy to make sure you don’t have to queue. Parking right next to the gardens.

Gardens are nice and the carriage museum is worth a look. The palace was closed when we visited. It’s an enormous place and worth a look. My advice eat and drink before or after you visit as both are average and heavily over priced

Tip 1: Buy tickets in advance unless you like standing in line. Audio guides are 3.50 each and you will need to stand in line for that. However, follow the next tip and hopefully, the lines will be short. Tip 2: Arrive promptly at 10 am (when they open) so you can leave before the doors of tour buses open and the crowds come forth and swallow you up. Tip 3: Pack a picnic because the gardens are beautiful and you can eat outside on benches. Don't sit on the grass as it is full of ticks! Tip 4: Go by Tram (16 or 17) because the view of the city is beautiful. Other than that, nothing more to add other than it is a beautiful palace and well organized. We had a wonderful day.

To get a glimpse of the life of Bavarian aristocracy, this is the place to go. Unless you are familiar with the royal genealogy, I recommend to pay the additional for the audio tour. The tour is adequate and sets you on the right path. The grounds are quite lovely to promenade. I would agree with other reviews that the staff are not welcoming, however the crowds probably would test the patience of Mother Theresa. I see another reviewer recommending arriving by 10 - probably good advice. Also, I had a small bag but had to check it…it was small. They do have lockers. If you like the area then a good nearby (25 minutes maybe ) walking destination traversing some nice roads through homes and shops is Königlicher Hirschgarten which is a beer garden along with some deer. The beer garden is not fancy or unique, but it is a great place to people watch - you can bring your own food at tables in the back or stay in the areas where there is full service. You are bound to have a nice day outside the confines of the city.

Exploring Nymphenburg Palace in Munich was a journey into Bavarian royalty and Baroque splendor. The palace’s grandeur, with its opulent interiors and expansive gardens, was a visual delight. Nymphenburg Palace is a must-visit for history enthusiasts, art lovers, and anyone seeking to immerse themselves in the regal heritage of Bavaria.

The palace architecture is very nice, there are some lakes in front and in the back. The interior does not have many rooms to visit and I think it costs too much for what you have to see but if you are a history fan or you like rococo style is worth it. I liked more the small buldings from the park of the palace. The park of the palace is free of charge but the small buldings from the park are not free. The buildings are situated on each side of the small river/lake that passes through the middle of the park and are two on each side. You have a lot to walk, it takes about 2-3 hours to reach all of them. I recomend wearing sport shoes because the pathways in the park are covered with gravel. One of the buildings from the park is a hunting lodge, a bathhouse, a relaxation house with oriental inspired decorations and a chapel that has on the inside the look of a grotto. As a possible downside is that the toilets were situated only in the main palace building and were closed from time to time for 15 mins for cleaning.

I would highly recommend a visit to the palace, though only a few rooms in the main body are open, they are quite breathtaking. I notice some people saying the entrance fee is too expensive but I would disagree, much cheaper than it would be in the UK and the rooms have been restored to such a high standard. It must have cost a fortune. The stables with all the coronation coaches and sleighs in must be seen as is the hall of mirrors. It’s a beautiful place and the overall size is massively impressive.

A very historic place to be once in a lifetime . Lots more to explore and learn about it to share with friends and family. As we are in winter we definitely enjoyed the walk around the garden which is well maintained and cleaned. Walking on nature itself has a beauty and the energy we gained after that is so amazing. I missed the view of the statues around the palace and garden areas because it is covered with wooden boxes to prevent snow . There is always you trying to find the reason to come back. So it is for me for sure 😊
