The Schirn has become one of the most important exhibition centres in Europe. The Schirn displays art collections and paintings from different galleries across the world including the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan and the Guggenheim Museum in New York and many others.

The Schirn Kunsthalle opened on the 28th February 1986 and has since displayed more than 150 exhibitions on the 2,000square metre of exhibition space.
