I've seen palaces like these in other European cities and it always amazes me how these royals lived and spent. With the Hapsburgs, I'm amazed at how long their reign lasted given their indulgence. We did the Classic Tour and I feel it was well worth the money. The gardens were amazing and the palace was really amazing -- the chandeliers along would be something to see.

This is a must visit attraction if you visit Vienna. It is a tram ride from the city centre but overall very easy to get to it. We would recommend that you book your tickets well in advance as it sells out quickly and having done the guided tour we would suggest definitely paying the extra as the history provided through the tour is amazing and really adds to the experience. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and more than happy to converse and answer questions which was really great. The gardens are amazing and the zoo is right beside it so you can really make a full day out of this visit. Coffee/food is very expensive on the grounds as are bottles of water etc, so we’d recommend bringing this with you and you will do lots of walking so wear comfortable shoes. Overall an amazing experience and five stars from us as a must see!

It rivals Versailles in opulence. Building started in the Middle Ages and it was extended many times. Maria Theresa had it beautifully restored and that is what we see today. It has over 1500 rooms, and 140 kitchens, as well as massive gardens. The grounds are open to all and there is a slight charge to visit about 40 rooms of the palace. Well worth a visit, but plan on a half a day.

My wife and I had a great time walking the endless grounds of this historic destination. The inside was awesome to view but does not allow photos to be taken. You can get a horse carriage ride if you book in advance in case they have a busy day.

We loved our visit to Schonbrunn. Easy access via U4 subway from karlsplatz. No big queues to negotiate as we didn’t have rucksacks to check in. The grand tour was wonderful, staff were incredibly helpful. I have mobility issues and we were assisted to access lifts to the state apartments and again to the ground floor on completion. We took the panorama train to the Gloriette and enjoyed a delicious lunch there. All in all, a perfect day

One of the best palace tours I have ever been on. We did not purchase a ticket in advance and were panicking the night before because we only had one more day in Vienna and no more tickets were available on their website. Be sure to plan your trip and buy well in advance. I would also go when they open because less crowded. Anyway, we showed up at 8am when they opened and were able to buy some tickets they had available on the spot. We did the self guided audio tour and it was outstanding. The beauty and the history...!! We then went outdoor to the gardens. We happened to have a beautiful, sunny day so that certainly helped. It is quite a walk up to the top but there are amazing views of Vienna. The gardens also have a zoo which we didn't have time to visit. This is a must do when you come to Vienn!!

Schonbrunn Palace have a stunning romantic ambiance. it was fascinating to see how huge the place is. Theres plenty to discover during our visit there were Christmas market one of the most visited Christmas markets in Vienna. The garden, and the Zoo is a must to explore with kids. We may need to spend atleast morethan half a day or (an hour or two) to each places to indulge in the perfect weather and enjoy the beautiful views sorrounded by Schonbrunn.

We visited the Palace and did an audio Grand Tour. The multi lingual device plays a recorded message describing the palace rooms by number - easy to use and very effective. One big advantage of the audio tour is that the regular guided tours often run behind schedule - on our visit is was nearly 60 minutes delayed. Also best to pre book online to avoid potentially long queues at the ticket office. The palace is an easy underground ride from central Vienna - no need to use a taxi. The palace is wonderful and very large. You could probably spend all day there, so helpful to decide in advance what you’d like to see and experience. This is a wonderful castle, a great tour and we’ll recommended

Fabulous palace which is easily accessible by public transport. This is an extremely popular attraction evidenced by its large coach park but the site is huge and there are so many things to do/see that you can avoid feeling too crowded. It is worth taking the grand tour of the palace - entry is timed so the groups aren’t too large and there is a good audio commentary included in the price. If you have to wait for your timed tour to start there are many other things to do: visit the carriage house, children’s museum, the orangery, take a carriage ride and much more. The palace grounds are extensive and impressive and there is even a zoo. There are several places to eat and drink and it’s possible to spend the whole day here.

We had booked Flexi Vienna Pass with any 3 sightseeing included. We had mailed Vienna Flexi Pass asking if soft copy would work every where and they said yes. In Schonbrunn Palace u need physical ticket to enter.We reached at 11 am we got slot of 1.15 pm, they ask you to arrive half an hour early which is waste of your time if u hv only a day to see the city. Schonbrunn Palace and gardens takes at least 2-3 hours. So if u are visiting Palace plan ur day accordingly.
