      Critics Consensus

Instead of being funny, this gross-out sequel plays like a sloppy, rushed-out product.

Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/24/24 Full Review Felix G Hace un tiempo intenté volver a verla creyendo recordar que era buena o graciosa. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/12/24 Full Review Gabriel Valentim É um filme mediano. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/01/24 Full Review Yash B It's been a while since I saw it, but I do remember thinking the first "Scary Movie" was a super entertaining comedy that I laughed a lot during. Unfortunately, the immediate follow-up, "Scary Movie 2," is a huge dropoff in quality. The movie does have some funny parts that admittedly made me laugh here and there, but a lot of jokes also fell flat and I felt pretty unimpressed by the finished product. This movie relies a lot on the same type of humor and while it can be funny, it also gets pretty repetitive and gross at times. Overall, it is not without some laughs, but isn't worth seeking out, and I would much rather just watch the first one again before seeing this one any time soon. Scary Movie 2 is merely a handful of sketches threaded together without any semblance of a plot. If you like broad, offensive humour, there are some laughs to be found here, but the jokes miss far more often than they hit. Rated: 1.5/5 Mar 7, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
