Hina Khan’s film ‘Country of Blind’ unveiled at Cannes 2022

The Cannes Film Festival has seen a bevy of stars grace the red carpet for film premieres and film announcements, one of which was the popular Hina Khan. Khan’s second appearance at the festival also marked the unveiling of her film ‘Country of Blind’ at the India Pavilion, where she is playing the role of a blind woman. The film is an Indo-English film and is based in the 1800’s detailing the lives of a blind community who live their lives wholeheartedly despite not being able to see.

‘Country of Blind’ is based on the short story ‘The Country of the Blind’, by author H.G. Wells. Khan’s last film was 2021’s ‘Lines’.
