Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s son, James, is 20!
The actress celebrated her eldest child’s milestone birthday with a touching Instagram tribute Friday.
“20 years ago today … the plates shifted,” Parker, 57, captioned rare throwback photos of James.
“All the feelings I had ever known, deeper, magnified and in brilliant new colors,” the “Sex and the City” alum continued. “Today the kaleidoscope spins with all the memories. In all the glorious shapes, changes and perspectives you have brought to our lives.
“Happy birthday my son,” Parker, who is also the mother of twin daughters Marion and Tabitha, 13, concluded. “I love you so. Xxx, Mama.”
The Emmy winner’s celebrity pals shared their support in the social media upload’s comments section.
“Happy Birthday JW! Love, love, love every member of our family,” Jessica Seinfeld wrote.
Andy Cohen added, “Happy Birthday JW! Feels like yesterday.”
James is a college student, starting his freshman year at Brown University in September of last year. His younger sisters, for their part, began the seventh grade in 2021.
“The house is different. We are different,” Parker told her Instagram followers of the transition. “They need us more. And far less. So many know.”
The “And Just Like That” star noted that while she was “gutted at the time … passing,” she was also “exhilarated by the possibilities that await” her children.
Three months later, James made a rare public appearance while accompanying his mom at the premiere of her HBO Max show.
The teenager smiled in a black suit while posing for red carpet pics with Parker and Broderick, 60.
The following year, Marion and Tabitha made headlines for joining the couple at the “Hocus Pocus 2” premiere.
