ELIMINATED - Sean Penn in Mystic River - 24.2% of all votes. Mystic River was released in 2003. The film had two wins, including Best Actor for Penn, at the 76th Academy Awards. Penn was selected for Best Actor of the year in a lineup that also included Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Ben Kingsley in House of Sand and Fog, Jude Law in Cold Mountain and Bill Murray in Lost in Translation. Penn also garnered nominations at the BAFTAs and SAGs, as well as wins at the Critics' Choice Awards and Golden Globes for his performance as Jimmy Markum.

Can’t say much to that because I haven’t seen either of Sean Penn’s winning movies 🤷‍♀️ I don’t care how long it takes to get rid of him; I’m sticking with Philip Seymour Hoffman

His performance doesn’t even belong in the category since it is clearly supporting. However, he’s top 10 for sure!
