Thank you for the information! Are they comparable to other players distance clubs?

The Maltby brand is the in-house brand (or premium brand) of the Golfworks. They are named “Maltby” because they are designed by Ralph Maltby, both the CEO and Chief Designer at Golfworks and a legendary golf club designer (among other things, Ralph Maltby was the head club designer at MacGregor). All of his designs are original and all are very thoroughly thought-out and designed. There have been some quirky designs over the years, mostly his ultra game improvement models, but he has also been responsible for some absolutely classic designs, and I think that the current TS Series (TS1, TS2, TS1 IM, TS3 and TS4 models) are Maltby’s best ever. His KE4 TC Pro, TC MAX and TC4 ICT drivers, fairways and hybrids are also excellent.  You can check out all of these designs on the Golfworks website.

The zx5s I carry 4,5 and 6.

Zx7s 7-pw.

Pw is 46* and then I carry 50,54,58 sm9s

The gapping between the 7 and 6 irons is about 5 extra yards but I fix that by choking down on the 6 if it's in-between.

I have been impressed with the feel off the face and turf interaction with the soles.

Very nice setup and thanks for the info. The highest iron I carry is a 6. Used to have 3,4,5; however, I switched to carrying  a 2, 4 and 5 hybrid. Love hybrids and can hit them perfectly out of bad lies that long irons didn’t like, ha ha

Nice. What do you play now?

Titleist T100 (2023 model) from a testing opportunity last season.

Truth is, the TS line was a little more forgiving than I needed and served more as an experiment to see where I was with my game. With some focus on better ball striking the T100 has been incredible but if I were to revert to something more forgiving I’d absolutely consider the TS irons. They’re awesome.

I’d highly recommend reviewing the testing thread. A LOT of good info about the entire line from testers…

To all the low and mid handicappers. I have a question: which players distance irons are the best you have ever hit and why? You can list your top three.

T200 are up there. Haven't hit the i530 yet, but they could be a strong contender and of course the P790 are great, but a bit bigger.
