- PatrikMontreal, Canada75 contributionsI lived in Chicoutimi for 2 years relatively close to the park. Park de la Riviere du Moulin was my "sanctuary" in town. The place to go and escape the troubles of daily life. It's a relatively long (~5-6 km) North-South stretch of park offering multiple walking trails with some elevation. You can even spot some wildlife like a weasel, white tail deer, or the occasional aggravated partridge escorting you out of the park and probably away from her young. During the winter, the southern half of the park is mostly used for cross-country skiing and ice skating and hokey rings are set up by the parking lot at the south-west main the entrance.Written June 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tammyBaltimore_MdBaltimore, MD2,442 contributionsGreat history surrounding this little cute house above a cool waterfall across rocks, pretty much only place that survived the floods of 1996. Admission $8.60, but lady at front wasn't very friendly.Written October 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TAMAN1951Liberty Lake, WA6,686 contributionsRuins today except for the museum.
The remaining exterior buildings are quite interesting.
Museum itself is just OK but has a decent story.
Well worth a visit.Written September 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Delightful but need to offer English translation. Pricing is about $100 per person, $249 for a family; there were 2 families with children 10-14 age range on the boat ride returning. Three hours may be boring for children that age. Scenery pleasantWritten July 25, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LouPOrford, Canada132 contributionsNice loop trail ! It took us about 2 hours. A fairly easy straight-line trail leads to a loop trail. Half of the loop is rough trail with beautiful scenery, half of the loop is quite easy in a dense forest.Written July 26, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BevBristolBristol82 contributionsVisited here on our whistle stop coach trip. I could have spent hours here with these lovely animals. The video show allowed understanding of the animals and their lifecycle. Lots of lovely items for purchase in the little boutique on site. High light was spending time with these animalsWritten February 22, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hugh FChelmsford, UK95 contributionsThis is a beautiful area giving you an idea of the vastness of the St Lawrence River. The excursion by boat to see the whales is a fascinating experience. Every effort is taken not to disturb these beautiful creatures after all this is their territory.Written October 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rowvergalQuebec, Canada13 contributionsGood introduction to the area and the underwater world that inhabits the fjord. Rooms well set up with things to touch and feel for the kids. Guided tours offered, and they even had good english tours - surprising for the area. A small, but well done museum and worth a visit.Written August 18, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IAlToronto, Canada232 contributionsGreat place for the kids because there’s a large splash pad, modern and large playground (wood chips on the ground), a whale-design fountain and a burger/ice cream place. After all these fun activities are done, take a stroll along the boardwalk thats facing the mountains and the Lake Saguenay.
Be aware though that while this is a walking distance from the downtown strip of Chicoutumi, you do need to cross some busy main streets and isolated parking lots, to get into the old port area where Zone Portuaire is located.Written August 19, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The facility and actors are so genuine you'll enjoy it immensely. The food in their cafeteria was delicious. Saguenay tortière was homemade.
