Ryan Gosling action movie The Fall Guy has "almost finished" filming, according to Stephanie Hsu.

In the running to win a Best Supporting Actress gong at this weekend's Oscars, Everything Everywhere All at Once favourite Hsu spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about one of her most thrilling upcoming projects, which also features Emily Blunt (A Quiet Place) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Bullet Train).

"It's been so fun," she teased. "David [Leitch, director] and [producer Kelly McCormick] showed me a sizzle reel last time I was in Australia, and I think it's going to be so good. Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt — amazing, amazing.

"I've been a huge fan of Ryan's since forever. I've always felt that he's cut from the same kind of weirdo cloth actually, and he definitely is.

"He's so funny, so silly and such an artist," Hsu said.

The Fall Guy is a remake of the classic 1980s TV series featuring Lee Majors in the lead role, which centres on stuntman-cum-bounty-hunter Colt Seavers (played by Gosling here).

Hsu's comments come after revealing that she was misidentified as Babylon's Li Jun Li during a US talkshow appearance last month.

"I really do feel like we have been making a lot of big steps in the last five to 10 years, but then this morning I was having a live televised interview. They were like, 'You're so incredible in Everything Everywhere, and also just have to say what an incredible turn for you in Babylon as well,'" the star recalled.

"It happened so fast. And I was like, 'Wait, did that just happen?'"

The Fall Guy is scheduled for release on March 1, 2024.
