Rupert of the Palatinate (German: Ruprecht von der Pfalz) (1427 - 1480) was the Archbishop of Cologne from 1463 until 1480.

Rupert was a son of Louis III of the Electoral Palatinate.
Archbishop of Cologne[]
Rupert was elected the Archbishop of Cologne on 30 March 1463, due largely by the desire of the cathedral canon to have a member of the House of Wittelsbach as archbishop. Rupert did not provide any benefit to the archdiocese, however, and his reign was largely a failure. He failed to curb the power of the cities in the archdiocese, eventually laying siege to Neuss 1475-6. Militarily he supported his brother, the Palatine Elector Frederick the Victorious. Rupert was defeated in battle and captured in 1478, and was imprisoned in Castle Blankenstein until his death in 1480. He was buried in Bonn Cathedral.
