Report: ‘One of the best’ managers in the world uninterested in Tottenham job, Levy is the reason

It has been reported that Ruben Amorim is not particularly keen on becoming the next Tottenham Hotspur manager due to a variety of reasons.

Less than a week ago, it was claimed that Amorim would be up for managing Spurs, after Antonio Conte recently left N17 for good.

But now, it seems like Ruben Amorim has no interest in becoming the next manager of Tottenham and there are a number of factors influencing his stance.

Ruben Amorim has no interest in becoming the next Tottenham manager

According to a revelation by Portuguese newspaper A Bola, one of the reasons why Ruben Amorim could snub the chance to become the next Tottenham manager is none other than Daniel Levy.

It has been stated that the ‘tempestuous temper’ of Levy is pushing the 38-year-old away from making his way to Spurs.

While there is not much that has been explained about this very sentiment, the entrepreneur’s actual attitude has been pointed to as a reason that may be putting Amorim off.

Another influencing factor is that Ruben Amorim is unwilling to leave Sporting CP in the middle of the season to become the next manager of any club, including Tottenham.

The same goes for next campaign as the Portuguese coach, described as ‘one of the best’ by Pep Guardiola via the Evening Standard aims to win a league title at Sporting before his contract expires in 2026.

While club president Frederico Varandas is aware that the managerial wonderkid will eventually leave to manage in a more high-profile league, the current £26.4 million release clause in his deal is considered as a factor that protects him by Sporting themselves.

If Daniel Levy truly wants Ruben Amorim to become the next Tottenham manager, he must try to persuade him to join by pitching his plans to revolutionise the club under his presence.

Considering Levy’s frugal and stubborn ways in the transfer market have been well-documented, this could work against him in his search for bringing in a world-class manager in the making.
