This album is an exceptional example of early 60’s lounge/easy listening/cocktail music. The moment you put the needle down on the record, you are transported to a past era. An era where space age design was all the rage and when Kennedy was president. In all actuality, this era was rather brief. This music would have been too modern in the mid 50’s, when mambo and calypso were the dominant forces in easy listening, but it sounds dated next to the bossa nova beats and psychedelic/Moog albums from the late 60’s.

Riddle had a radio hit with the "Route 66" TV theme song so they decided at Capitol to pull out the stops and record a flock of TV themes by Nelson and his band...Most are quite thematic in nature like "Ben Casey", "Dr. Kildare", and "Naked City"...and some light hearted songs are found on the LP too...""Andy Grifith Show", "My Three Sons", and even "Sing Along With Mitch"...So put it on your turntable and close your eyes and think you are enjoying some past TV shows as they play out in your ears...
