The last part of the trail is closed off to private property.

Lovely views, goo mix of terrain, pubs en-route and a couple of decent climbs

Excellent walk, varied seaside, a lovely village, fields. Very much enjoyed!

Great trail run with mixed terrain and great views. Long hill to finish off on.

Good Boxing Day stroll with the Downs and views and the undercliffe walk .

Lovely walk but longer than walk details suggest...10km. Walked along the cliff footpath to the marina as quieter than by the very fast busy road and great views out to sea. Took a short deter along the marina arm but was blocked off at the little cafe. Wandered around Kipling Gardens in Rottingdean which is a must as beautiful. Then up onto the downs with stunning views and the quite somber looking windmill. Generally an easy walk with a few steepish climbs between Rottingdean and Roedean.

Easy route, amazing views and a free car park. We stopped at the beach for a picnic, it made the walk even better

Wonderful. It’s quick and easy. Park at the multi storey car park opposite ASDA because it’s free all day long (even after 4 hours!) cross the ASDA car park and get to the white cliff where you can start the walk. ASDA have loos upstairs so you can use them before you start. Undercliff walk is super easy and flat, busy with cyclists and runners sometimes, but right beside the sea, so the sea breeze keeps you cool on a hot day and looks great. Places to stop and get refreshments in Rottingdean and a beautiful Rudyard Kipling walled garden to walk around in Rottingdean if you’re interested, roses were great there in the summer. Leaving Rottingdean takes you up onto the top of the cliffs to the windmill and you enter the nature reserve, the views are well worth the easy workout to this point. Beyond that you head back towards Brighton and the only thing to watch for is sheep (so dogs on a lead!!) and the short but steep steps down beside the entrance to Rodean school. Great walk.

Lovely walk along the coast looping around a quaint village. End of the walk is through grassy meadows with sheep and cows. Lovely all around.

Great walk, the weather was beautiful

beautiful walk xx

Amazing - a half by seaside and a half by fields. Loved it

Nice easy walk with scenic views

Great little walk and the weather was lovely too! Took my partner along who hasn’t really been into walking, so it’s a nice and easy walk suitable for beginners. Was nice to finish back in the village of Rottingdean sat with a cuppa next to the resident ducks from the pond on the village green

Nonsense and boring trail! Avoid!

Good trail if you love the sea air! Some stairs and up hill parts but nothing too major, real good for beginners :)

Great walk, varied scenery, lovely views. Rottingdean is beautiful

Great walk, beautiful views with a pitstop at Rottingdean.

Good easy trail to do as a day activity if you're in Brighton. It can be extended if you walk from/to the city centre.

Such a nice brisk walk to see the quieter side of Brighton and hove.

Fantastic walk ....we extended the route by going to Ovingdean and also we did the route in reverse as wanted to have the walk by the sea at the end . Fantastic way to start the Spring.....

We completed a slightly different version of this - the under cliff path was busy so we took the overcliff. It’s a pleasant enough walk, but not much to write home about. Would be better in summer so you can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea.

Great views, moderate difficulty. Will go again

A little boring The navigation takes you to one point and says to the walk to the start... which is actually a free car park so could have parked at the start

Fabulous trail. Worth parking at Brighton Marina (maximum 4 hours stay, but FREE!) - walk along the Boardwalk and you can get out and walk along the Undercliffe path from there. Adds about half a mile on to each end of the walk.

Nice circular walk taking in both sea and countryside. The overcliff is a bit samey so try taking a Brighton Bike Share bike along that part of the trail, leaving it in the bike racks at Rottingdean.
