Rosemont College Reviews
Rating 3.22 out of 5 152 reviews
Rosemont College is a small school with lots to offer. I like that the staff, teachers, and advisors here will all help a student if there is any need for it. However, I notice that there is not much of a community here. One thing I would like to see change here is to have more campus events. A sense of community and the students to engage with each other here could really bring up the atmosphere.
Going to Rosemont was such a terrible experience and I don’t recommend it to anyone. It’s like going to high school again because it’s so small. Everyone knows everyone. At first I thought I would like the small college experience but soon enough, I learned that all of the staff have “favorite students.” All of those favorite students are in any picture you see on their website and social media, the same 20 people. I was in the English department and every professor has a handful of their favorite students and they make it VERY known. My entire undergrad experience, I felt like an outcast. Some of the students were great and others, not so much. Halfway through my undergrad I started commuting and they don’t care about their commuters at all. When I lived in campus, the dorms were unlivable, infested with mice, rats, mold and so much more. Please stay far far awaY.
i considered transferring as early as october of my freshman year (i ended up transferring). the first week there was unorganized. nobody showed up to the events, and some of them weren’t even planned correctly (this continuing throughout the school year, i would show up to events and not even staff would be there). everyone goes home on the weekends too. the building conditions are HORRID! each dorm building had a horrible rodent infestation that seemed to be swept under the rug. there were even mice running around the cafeteria!!! people would scream down the hallway and bang on people’s doors at all hours of the night and nobody did anything about it. security was not present in the dorms. i did not feel safe on campus. however the teachers were very nice and classes were easy and it’s simple to maintain a 4.0!
