I used to be the type to set 4-5 alarms and snooze endlessly in the mornings, getting up last minute, but I committed to the 5AC, and now I'm getting up at 4:45am with one alarm. This is while getting better quality sleep than before (because I now have a solid routine) and getting more of what's important each day.
Mileage may vary, of course, depending on where you are in life and what messages you need to hear, but this one was right on time for me.
I have trouble sleeping so I’d be up in the middle of the night and would drive to a local 24 hour gym to workout. I thought there was something off about myself because I couldn’t seem to fit in with a lot of my friends and family anymore. The topics of conversation were dull to me, their interests aren’t interesting, there were no real plans for the future, no goals were ever mentioned, and this was normal. Everyone I knew around me just “went with it.”
Just something about that felt strange to me and for a long time I thought I was the one with issues because I couldn’t relate to just going with it. Then this book reassured me that the universe has other plans for me but I have to act on it. So I’m acting on it. Going forward I’ll be taking educated chances and calculated risks. Tired of just “going with the flow.” My 5am is 3:30am and I get more done by the time the rest of the world wakes up.
It’s written like a fiction book with interesting characters and it’s through their dialogue that you understand the teachings and importance of the 5 am club.
The teachings and overall message that the author is trying to teach is very good. And you will learn some powerful lessons. But some of the wording is very “flowery” and “pretty”. You just have to read it to understand what I’m saying. Lol.
Overall it’s a good book with a good message if you can stick it through. Just a little flowery. Lol
