Actress. She was a character actress who was known for her roles in both films and television during a career that spanned from the 1960s to the 1990s. Her best known roles were of 'Louisa von Trapp' in the 1965 film "The Sound of Music" and 'Jessica 6' on the 1970s science-fiction television series "Logan's Run". Her family moved from Canada to the United States when she was eleven. After graduating from Hollywood High School, she attended the Falcon Studio's University of the Arts in Hollywood. She made her acting debut in 1964 on the television series "My Three Sons" and a year later, her film debut came in "The Sound of Music". She would go on to appear in such films as "Hawaii" (1966), "How Sweet It Is" (1968), "Hail, Hero!" (1969), "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" (1969), "Sssssss" (1973), and "Piranha" (1978). Besides "Logan's Run", her television credits would go on to include "The Farmer's Daughter", "Dragnet 1967", "Room 222", "Marcus Welby M.D.", "Bonanza", "The Smith Family", "Love, American Style", "The Bob Newhart Show", "S.W.A.T.", "The Six Million Dollar Man", "The Love Boat", "Vega$", and "T.J. Hooker". In 1973, she posed nude for Playboy Magazine much to the displeasure of her Presbyterian parents. She was married to fellow actor Robert Urich from 1975 until his passing in 2002. She set up the Robert Urich Foundation to raise funds for cancer research after her husband passed away. She passed away after a short battle with brain cancer.
