We were here tonight for late quick lunch, two of us 17.05 pm we order. The lady who served us was kind but little knowledge about the menu I showed her the picture of what we a a wanted it and she said is enough...for two people,however we managed to order everything to share Bread and butter, whitebite, and Special Bruschette to share mixed seafood. Food came 17:30pm fair enough 25 minutes to wait for and “extraordinary” dish that cost 29.95£.Food arrived and what a disappointment the white bite were dry and tasteless and the sharing seafood plate was so small not even enough for one person, absolutely nothing like in the picture half of the plate was replaced by green salad and the rest was small pieces of salmon no salt and some mixed sea food, we were shocked by the size, I mean are you joking 29.95£ and the taste wasn’t very impressive. We spoke with our waiter and after with person on charge tall guy, we explained everything and all he said was this is it nothing I can do about it. We didn’t want to make big deal, we had a long day we paid the bill we just wanted to get out of there, but how disrespectful is to pay for an empty plate, poor and unprofessional service, they also extra charge for two bread and butter instead of one, they gave us refund for that and we left angry and hungry. What a shame I used to like this place I also know the owner which was very passionate about what he was doing , but this experience was appalling.More

Great venue for quick bite after visit to Richmond Odeon. Cod and chips were cooked to perfection - certainly not greasy - and fish tasted so fresh it could well have been caught that day. We opted for mug of tea with food as we...wanted informal meal without any fuss - and it also kept the cost down! Service was friendly and efficient and I joked that fish and chips was at least as good as that served at more celebrated venues in Whitby. Will definitely return.More

Pier 1 fish is always spanking fresh. Their tables are wiped down when customers leave and before new customers are seated. As you go in you are asked to use the hand cleanser machine. The tables are well spaced and the restaurant is airy. You...feel safe and well looked after.. The fish and chips are really well cooked. The batter is light. Wines, beers and fruit juices are well chosen. The staff are invariably friendly and good with both old people and children. Go an enjoy a treat. Our favourites are fried plaice and prawn Caesar.More

We are so pleased we made it here to eat the amazing food, meet Billy and his impeccable team of chefs and waitresses. From living in a sea side town for 30 years, we have have tried every fish and chip restaurant going but this...is hands down the best we’ve ever had. We got the recommendation from a local resident of Richmond so thought we’d give it a try on our last evening. The food was cooked to perfection and served beautifully (we would love to know their secrets on how to get that batter as light as it was- no greasiness in sight!) We went for the scallops, king prawns and haddock and even the chips were cooked amazingly well. Not only was the food outstanding, the team are truly amazing especially with my children who had a very long day in the city. They are professional, informative and so friendly; they made this visit really special for us. On arrival there was a family using a phone to keep a child amused but the volume of the phone was high and the staff didn't want to upset the two families that had been there for hours. They allowed us to move tables which...helped. We did say we had booked based upon their reviews and the server was confident we would give them five stars. How right he was. We started with Tempura King Prawns which was a good portion of 4 each and beautifully cooked. I almost ordered another portion.. Our main was Cod and Chips and Haddock and chips. We had a side of bread and butter. The batter was again beautiful and the quality of the fish excellent. I have a lot of fish and chips and can say this is the best i have ever had outside of YorkshireMore

It was a pleasure to eat here again. They have done a fabulous job on redecorating. Even though this place is a fish restaurant we came for our regular traditional fish and chips and they where as good as ever. In our opinion the best...Fish and Chips anywhere . There is a great choice of other fish dishes as well and an inexpensive well chosen wine list with many good white wines by the glass. We are very lucky in Richmond to have Pier 1 so close to the river. It’s great value , great for families with an excellent children’s menu so book to avoid disappointment.More

You can't fault this place, perfectly cooked fresh range of fish with a lovely batter. Chips are great and a lovely large portion available. I particularly love their mushy peas. It can get busy, especially on a Friday, but always attentive and good at getting...the orders out. Eating in is super and they have lovely decor for a chippy. Deliveroo can be a bit hit and miss on getting the food to you hot, but that's Deliveroo's fault and not the restaurant. I usually take a walk down and pick an order up. Top place.More

Our order was not partially delivered — restaraunt management doesnt want to listen, claims Uber driver took it and we have to deal with Uber not with them. NOT customer friendly. Poor price/quality, there are many other great places in Richmond area to order from. The...minute they have problem with your order — you are screwed.More

After a long walk in the Richmond park, we were hungry and looking for some hot food and chanced upon this place in Richmond hill. What a find! The place was clean, airy, staff were in masks, and using a hand sanitizer was compulsory. We...went for - fried cod and chips, fried haddock and chips - both were absolutely delicious! The fish was so so so fresh. The restaurant got busier and the queue for take away also increased. The staff were sweet and attentive. We left with our tummies full, happy and delighted at our find. 10 of us dined to celebrate many January birthdays in our family. Those that have been before love it and those that came for the first time said the fish was lovely. Very tasty and cooked perfectly and not oily. Cod, Haddock, Halibut all were...great. Service was excellent very friendly, and fun banter, we all had a great evening. We make Pier 1 our first meal when we travel to the UK. The food is absolutely the best and the service is unmatched. This last trip my wife asked if they had gravy so she could dip her chips in it. They did not,...which was ok with us as not expected to have it. Then shortly after the meal came the manager, I believe, came with a bowl of gravy for her. That is class service and the best. This isz why once a year this is our first dinner when we arrive.More
