Richard S. “Rich” Perry

Richard S. “Rich” Perry, 76, of Falconer, passed away Tuesday (July 12, 2022) in The Star Hospice House, Lakewood.

An area resident for more than 50 years, he was born Nov. 1, 1945, in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of the late Salvatore and Catherine (Pappalardo) Perez.

Rich lived in California beginning at age 2 until his family settled in Jamestown, N.Y., when he was 14 years old.

Rich was a graduate of Jamestown High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1963-66.

Prior to retirement, he was employed by Jamestown Electric Supply for over 30 years. Rich was a member of South Hills Country Club and enjoyed his family, golfing, remodeling homes and carpentry.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Abbey Perry, whom he married Sept. 8, 1991, in Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, Marlo Perry, of Jamestown; two stepchildren: Greg Pond (Sabine Nimtz) of Jamestown, and Vikki (Tom) McFall of Falconer; five grandchildren: Taylor Clark, John DeAngelo, Shannon McFall, Brie McFall and Angela Pond; two great- grandchildren: Cody and Madison Clark.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Phil (Marge) Debita; three sisters: Angela (Fred) Cowen, Catherine (Robert) Taylor and Jay (Sam) Bondi.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Pastor Jennifer Delahoy will officiate. Burial will be in Kennedy Riverside Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
