Richard was born in 1808. He was the son of William Dyott and Eleanor Thompson.[1]
He went to Westminster School and Trinity College Cambridge.[2]
He served as an officer in the Infantry and later in the militia.[2]
He was MP for Lichfield and High Sheriff of Staffordshire.[2]
He died in 1891 and was buried in the family vault under St Mary's Church, Lichfield, at night, according to the custom of the family since the Commonwealth.[2]
