Pastor Richard Daly

Pastor Richard Daly was born and grew up in East Ham, London, to Jamaican parents. At 19 years of age, he spent one year as a student missionary in the Marshall Islands (in the Pacific) where he felt God's call to full time ministry. In accepting that call Pastor Daly commenced his ministerial training at West Indies College (now North Caribbean University) where he received his BA and then completed his MA in Theology at Newbold College. 
He began his internship ministry in Bristol pastoring several churches and then commenced his first district in Gloucester. After several years he returned to Bristol as the senior pastor where he also started two new churches. In 2010 he returned to London to become the pastor for the Croydon church. In 2011, Pastor Daly was appointed to the GC Executive committee and in 2016 he served at the British Union Conference as the BUC Communication and Media Director. He has been involved in several evangelistic campaigns in various parts of Africa including Ghana, Rwanda, Zimbabwe and Malawi.
Pastor Daly has been in full time ministry for 27 years.
He completed further studies in 2019 by achieving his Doctor of Ministry (DMin) specialising in the History of the Seventh-day Adventist church in the British Isles.
Pastor Daly has a passion for working within the community and in doing so has served in local community initiatives and leadership projects. He has extended his ministry as a hospital, prison and university volunteer chaplain and served at the London 2012 Olympic Games as a chaplain ministering to athletes and personnel within the Olympic village. 
Pastor Daly is an avid reader and the author of 16 books including the best seller God's Little Book of Calm and The Christian Race.
Outside of ministry, as a former athlete, he enjoys playing several sports, including Tennis and Squash. He has recently become a keen gardener.
Pastor Daly has been married to Maxine for 27 Years, she is a Science and Maths teacher and together have three young adult boys - Ryan, Simeon and Liam who are all in further education.
Pastor Daly's main desire in life is serve God whole heartedly and sees the Lord as his supreme provider and guide and truly accepts that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him.
