Ivana Trump's husbands: Inside her many marriages

Many will remember Ivana Trump (maiden name: Zelnickova) as the late first wife of former President Donald Trump, but he was only one of her four husbands.

The Czech-American businesswoman — who died on July 14, 2022, at the age of 73 after going into cardiac arrest — was married once before saying “I do” to Donald.

After four failed marriages, Ivana told Page Six in 2017 that she wasn’t looking for another husband and didn’t date because that part of her life was “over,” and instead chose to spend time with her grandchildren.

Ivana married her first husband, Alfred Winklmayr, in Prague in November 1971 when she was 22 years old.

The model and the Austrian ski instructor were married for two years.

According to the Washington Post, Ivana’s attorney back in 1990 described the union as a “Cold War marriage” that was “never consummated.”

She apparently only “wanted her freedom” from Czechoslovakia’s then-Communist regime.

The outlet reports that Ivana received her Austrian passport in March 1972 and immigrated in September 1972 to Canada, where — after a mandatory waiting period — she got her marriage “dissolved” in August 1973.

Ivana met Donald in New York in 1976 inside Maxwell’s Plum restaurant when she was a 26-year-old model living in Montreal.

She told LiveSigning that the real estate mogul helped her and her friends get a table at the “packed” establishment and then paid for their dinner.

“I have never met a man [who would] pay for something and he didn’t want anything in return,” she told the outlet. “Little did I know.”

The two married in a socialite-studded wedding in April 1977 and welcomed their son, Donald Trump Jr., that December. Their daughter, Ivanka Trump, was born in October 1981 and youngest son, Eric Trump, in January 1984.

Ivana became a naturalized United States citizen in 1988.

Throughout her 15-year marriage with Donald, Ivana held key managerial positions in The Trump Organization.

However, the two divorced in March 1992 amid news of the businessman’s affair with Marla Maples.

After their split, Ivana told The Post she asked for “total custody” of their kids.

“That was non-negotiable,” she recalled, noting that “even if Donald and I had stayed together, I would have raised the kids.”

The two were later able to reconcile and were on friendly terms before her death.

“She was a wonderful, beautiful and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life,” Donald said in a statement when she died. “Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric.”

Ivana married Italian entrepreneur and international businessman Riccardo Mazzucchelli in November 1995.

According to People, he initially proposed unsuccessfully with a 10-carat diamond. Years later, he presented her with a massive Burmese sapphire, and she accepted. They were married for two years.

The pair divorced in 1997, after which Mazzucchelli told the outlet, “I loved Ivana a lot, and I think I did my very best. I did for her more than Donald ever did.”

Later that year, Ivana sued Mazzucchelli for $15 million for allegedly violating the confidentiality clause of their prenuptial agreement.

Mazzucchelli then filed a libel lawsuit against Ivana and Donald in the United Kingdom.

They were able to settle their differences outside of court.

According to RadarOnline, Mazzucchelli died in September 2017.

Though their marriage was done before their one-year anniversary, they remained an on-again, off-again couple for the better part of the decade that followed.

The two even appeared together on the Italian version of “Dancing with the Stars” in 2018.

“The relationship just ran its course,” Ivana explained to Page Six the following year. “Rossano spends a lot of time in Italy, and I spend a lot of time in New York, Miami and St-Tropez … The long-distance relationship really doesn’t work. We had a good time and are friends. The split was amicable.”

Rubicondi died in November 2021 at the age of 49.
