A lovely winery! Pulling up to the Estate the exterior screams German farm. Took me back to Germany in my mind! Once you open the doors to the winery it's an upscale interior. Beautifully done!
Alex helped us with our wine tasting. His knowledge and attention to us was very much appreciated!

Try all the wines! We are red wine drinkers, but Reif Estates gets it right and does all of their wines well. Several you can't buy by the glass, but trust me, if you're a red wine drinker the First Growth Merlot is amazing!

After 13 generations I guess it makes a difference in making ice wines. The Vidal ice wine is super sweet and smooth. You want to keep drinking it and don't feel the alcohol. Nice winery and gift items to give to loved ones. They have tours and tasting. Staff are lovely and the wines are reasonably priced so you will definitely be able to enjoy this at home.

Wow wow wow, amazing wine! I loved everything I tried. I tried 3 amazing red wines. I also did an ice wine tasting and got to try 4. What a treat! I had never had ice wine before and I really enjoyed it.
Takuya helped me with all my tastings and he was so kind, funny, and wonderful. Excellent service!

I enjoyed a delicious cheese plate with the wine and a prosciutto panini later on their outdoor patio.

      Beautiful vineyard!!!!

      I loved my day here!!!

If it wasn't for the wine slushy & their little outdoor wine stand this place would've gotten even more less star.
I check the night before and knew there was some morning booking availability. We hope they could accommodate three people as a walk up. Nope. We couldn't even walk inside & look around. They told us to go around the corner & we could do some wine tasting.
We did & the wine slushy was delicious. My sister-in-law got a flight it was ok.
My mom got a wine sangria.
On the outsider it looks beautiful it couldn't tell you want it looks like on the inside.

A place for some beautiful photos by the river (river is across the street) but overall a huge let down on so many levels.

The bathroom is so dirty. No one to put in a new trash bag so paper towel all over the floor.

Instead of having people enjoy what looked like a beautiful interior, they have a 3 tier personalized wine tasting indoors and the outside has two separate wine areas. The "nosebleed" section of $20 for three 2oz pours is right by the driveway for peasant folk. Then the paid by the glass is by the washroom area.

Please let me explain what I mean about nosebleed and peasant. You write down your desired 3 tastings and they pour it for you in plastic glasses and sharpie the type of wine they poured. Then you take it to a picnic table.

If you pay by the glass, that comes in an actual stemless wine glass.

Coming from BC, I've never once paid $20 for a wine tasting where the amount isn't credited towards a purchase of a bottle if you end up buying. Maybe we just do business differently there? Who knows.

The music is also really loud and it didn't feel very upscale at all, especially with the plastic wine glasses.

This was the first winery we went to as our preferred one was closing for the day by the time we arrived. The website looked promising but the wine itself was pretty awful. The absolute driest and lacking in body Gewurztraminer ever. The Gewurztraminer and Riesling mix was also meh. My parents love reds and the red was so tight that I don't know how they could ever call that a wonderful "drink all day" Cab Sauvignon. The only decent one was the sparkling Riesling which is the sole reason this isn't a 1 star.

Not a good note to start on. Hoping the other wineries I've bookmarked make up for this letdown.

Never seen a rose this red. And the plastic wine glasses with Sharpie was really not an upscale experience to say the least.

Stunning winery with friendly and knowledgeable staff. We made a reservation online ahead of time for a tasting and each got to try 3 wines. It was fun getting to try some new wines. We chose this winery in particular because they have more than just ice wines - nothing wrong with ice wines but we are not fans. I found a wine I liked enough to buy a bottle! The setting is gorgeous and it's easy to get there. Overall we had a great experience here.

A last minute trip to Canada led to an impromptu visit to Niagara on the Lake. Reif Estates was our first stop and we were not disappointed. The wine tasting associate was very knowledgeable and was helpful with tips to make the most of the region. The tasting room was beautiful. We are planning a trip back soon and will definitely visit again.

We were biking on the Niagara trail (loved it!) and decided to stop by for wine testing at the Reef Winery on our way back to Niagara-on-the-lake. The outdoor setup is very scenic, the "barrel" waterfall is a nice touch. However, we were disappointed with the wines, we tasted almost every wine on the list and they were all "meh" quality. What really marred our visit was rude Mediterranean looking lady who was manning the BBQ. She bossed us around quite rudely, first insisting that we move our bikes, and then, even after we complied, she continued to give us hostile looks.

OMG! After feeling disrespected by the staff at the other winery down the street from them, Inniskillin Winery, this was a WELCOMED SURPRISE. Louise and the staff here didn't dismiss us, or rush us to pay BEFORE tasting our selections and as a result I purchased from them. And plan to go back tomorrow.

Thank you Louise and staff for making us feel welcomed and at home

Patrick's excitement about his role and his knowledge about the estate and the wines is top-notch. It has been a long time since I have had real fun and actually learned something at a wine tasting. Patrick took special care to make sure we had an excellent experience and he even convinced me to try an ice wine, which I traditionally dislike, and he was correct, it was delicious. I left with a bottle of it as well as 7 others. Very nice wines and a beautiful estate but the real gem here is Patrick. We will be back!
