And a stylish one at that.

It's been nearly five years since the final episode of Big Little Lies season 2 aired on HBO—and while the show didn't get renewed for a third run (at least not yet), a few members of the Monterey Five reunited on the red carpet over the weekend.

On Saturday, Nicole Kidman was honored with the AFI Life Achievement Award at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and her co-stars—namely Reese Witherspoon and Meryl Strep—came out to show their support. Sadly, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, and Zoë Kravitz weren't in attendance.

Staging a mini reunion on the red carpet, the trio posed together, along with Zac Efron, Miles Teller, and Lee Daniels, while wearing a slew of stylish looks. The woman of the hour, Kidman, opted for a sequined gold gown with a long train, while Witherspoon kept it classic in an LBD with a plunging neckline and a high slit.

Streep, for her part, wore a sweeping black maxi dress that featured an all-over pink-and-yellow floral pattern and accessorized with her signature thick-rimmed glasses.

Though this wasn't exactly the reunion we've been waiting for, it did hold us over. Back in November, Kidman all but basically confirmed that a third season of Big Little Lies will be streaming soon.

During a Q&A session at the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida, the actress told the audience, “I loved Big Little Lies because it sort of came along at a time in my life when I had my children, and I was thinking I was going to retire, and then this situation came along, where Reese Witherspoon and I were able to produce that show. And then all of you watched it and made it a massive success.”

She teasingly added, “And we will be bringing you a third one, just FYI."
