Anyone pick up a copy of this yet? I checked a couple of German sites; according to cinefacts.de it's a BD50, so hopefully decent PQ, but it looks like the audio is only DD 2.0 for English, Italian or German.
As you might guess from my avatar, I like my Westerns. EDIT: Just checked Amazon.de, this title has apparently been delayed. Last edited by The Duke; 08-15-2009 at 10:17 PM. |

finally located this film.
The title threw me off. It was released under the title of the thread, but is more commonly known as "Silver Saddle". I know nothing about this film, but it looks kind of interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_Saddle |

Apparently there are 2 versions of the film on the blu-ray: one that has been DNRed and another without. Here is the link:

yeah I had read about that months ago, and was going to make a thread about the decision to do this, which frankly, seems to be exactly what many people have said would be the ultimate bd releases.
(of course I personally wouldn't want the dnr version) the fact that it apparently has already been done is kind of crazy. I would love to get this and see the results for myself. I doubt that this type of "double release" will ever catch on with the major studios though due to many reasons) |

Criterion and warner archive have been releasing alot of Raoul Walsh films lately. I expect sometime this year warner archive will announce this. For errol flynn films his Raoul Walsh films are the only films i really like objective burma gentleman jim and they died with their boots on. Also while not perfect I believe this to be a more accurate view of custer than the revisionist 60's movies. Son of the morning star tv mini series was another good one.

FYI; Nearly all of these BluRays are now rotten and not playable anymore.
