Xmen 97, why flying purple people eater?
What does that song have to do with anything?
Hey there! In order to combat the heavy rule breakage of our "Spoilers" rule while X-Men '97 is airing, all post related to or about X-Men shows/movies will have to be manually approved by the mods. This means you will not see your post in the subreddit until one of the mods has approved it to ensure spoiler rules are followed and nothing is spoiled for anyone.
This means you may have to wait longer for your post to show up and we ask that you have patience while we go through the queue and approve posts. This is for the enjoyment of all users in the subreddit.
Please do not message the mods via modmail to ask us to approve your post, even if your post has nothing to do with X-Men '97. We will approve your post as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience and understanding!

A hint as to Bastion's true nature, and the incongruity of a song that seems harmless being used to show someone being so evil?
I understand Bastions connection, but I wouldn't say purple people eater is that clear.
Look at what year it came out. And look at the year Nimrod attempted to assassinate Xavier in the original animated series. And the color palette shared by those two characters and the song itself…
There might be a clue there as to Bastion’s true nature and the sly hint that Sinister gave about Bastion being one of those X-Men villains who has also failed…
