Princess Therese of Nassau-Weilburg

Princess Therese of Nassau-Weilburg was born on July 17, 1815 in Weilburg, Germany. She was the daughter of William, Duke of Nassau, and his wife Princess Louise of Saxe-Hildburghausen. In 1837, Princess Therese married Prince Augustus of Württemberg, a member of the royal family of Württemberg, in a lavish ceremony in Weilburg. The couple had two sons, William and Augustus, before Augustus died in 1885. Throughout her life, Princess Therese was involved in various charitable causes and philanthropic organizations. She also enjoyed music and the arts, and was a patron of several cultural institutions. Princess Therese died on April 8, 1871 at the age of 55. She was buried alongside her husband in the Ludwigsburg Palace in Württemberg. Her legacy lives on through her charitable work and contributions to the arts.
