Princess Charlotte turns 7! See three new photos of Prince William and Duchess Kate's daughter
Princess Charlotte is celebrating her 7th birthday – a reminder of how fast the young royal is growing up!
Prince William and Duchess Kate shared three new photos of their only daughter on Sunday, ahead of her birthday Monday. The portraits of Charlotte were taken in Norfolk, England, this weekend by her mother, who celebrated 11 years of marriage to William last Friday.
Princess Charlotte looks just like her father in the photos released Sunday, where she's seen hugging the family dog, a black cocker spaniel, in one photo.
In the other two portraits, Charlotte smiles from ear to ear. Wearing her long hair down, Charlotte is dressed in a light blue sweater with a polka-dot collar peeking through as she poses on a field of flowers.
It comes as no surprise to see Charlotte posing outdoors. In August, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a photo of their outdoorsy daughter in a periwinkle shirt and pink floral shorts, gazing at a butterfly while she gently held the insect in her hands.

Charlotte Elizabeth Diana is the middle child and only daughter of William and Kate. Her younger brother, Prince Louis, turned 4 on April 23, and her older brother, Prince George, turns 9 on July 22.
Born in 2015, Princess Charlotte is fourth in line to the throne behind grandfather Prince Charles, father Prince William and older brother Prince George.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released photos every year of their children on their birthdays, a tradition that started with their firstborn Prince George. Typically, Kate snaps the photos of Charlotte, Louis and George to mark their special day.
Last year, Princess Charlotte was photographed in Norfolk, England, for her 6th birthday in a blue floral, button-front dress with a Peter Pan collar, her long hair worn loose.
The young princess has built up a reputation as a cheeky child for her silly antics during public appearances such as when she stuck her tongue out at photographers at a summer yacht race in 2019.
Most recently, Princess Charlotte appeared ready to return home after parents Kate, William, and her brother Prince George said goodbye to Dean of Windsor, The Right Rev. David Conner, after Easter Sunday service in April at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

That day, the mother-daughter duo also coordinated in baby blue outfits.
Kate wore a monochromatic look, wearing a pale blue coatdress with a matching belt, a pair of suede blue heels and a pale blue clutch. Princess Charlotte wore a light blue floral Peter Pan collar dress, a pair of knitted light blue tights and a navy blue cardigan that matched with her father and brother's suits.
