When you think of romantic literature you probably think of Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, Sense and Sensibility—and Hallmark movies? Hallmark is the perfect network to feature a movie about romantic literature, wouldn't you think? In Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, The Presence of Love, a literature professor takes a trip to England that her mother set up for her before she died.

Here's what we know about The Presence of Love.

What is The Presence of Love about?

Over the years, Adjunct Professor of Romantic Literature, Jocelyn “Joss” Lambert (Eloise Mumford) has let practicality and fear of the unknown rule her life, saving risk and adventure for the heroines in her books. Just before her 33rd birthday, Joss receives a surprise gift from her late mom—a 10-day trip to England to discover her roots—a trip she and her mom had always planned to take together.

Faced with a career-altering “publish or perish” deadline, an anxiety-prone Joss goes on the journey, hoping it will inspire her. Arriving at the Cornish farmhouse her grandparents used to own, now rented out as a B&B, Joss meets Daniel (Daniel Morris), a single dad who runs the family farm despite his strained relationship with his strong-willed mother, Merryn (Samantha Bond).

Amid family tensions over the future of the farm, Joss tries to write, but is blocked until she bonds with Daniel's daughter Tegan (Amy Sharp), who is struggling with undiagnosed dyslexia. As Joss ignores her own deadline to help Tegan, Daniel and Merryn begin to warm up to her and see their family bonds strengthened. Joss finds a link to her own family’s past that brings her clarity. As her journey of self-discovery comes to an end, Joss must decide how to live her truest life—a life that might just include a romantic kind of love she never expected.
