What travelers are saying
- Dean MSilver Spring, MD4 contributionsAlways enjoyed their beers. Took the Cellars tour, and it was really informative. Loved hearing about their process for creating new brews, and the tastings were also great. It's obvious they have a passion for their art. Highly recommend!Written April 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Joe MHouston, TX2,703 contributionsGreat collection international and local art. The museum has good flows through galleries. It has a lot of natural light. The outdoor sculpture gardens can be viewed from stairways. As the museum has grown it has graphed onto the Mclellan house which has its own history. You should plan on at least 2 to 3 hours. These is a small cafe for light snacks.Written March 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bettie KVirginia Beach, VA17 contributionsWondeful mansion but there is a problem with parking, there isn't any. I loved the library and you do get to go upstairs. I would recommend.Written December 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- IthakanIthaca, NY346 contributionsWhile it's not a lot of fun to roll out of bed and be on a ferry by 5:00 a.m., it was a unique experience. There was one other family on the boat and the rest of the folks on the outward bound trip were lobstermen, so we had the ferry much to ourselves. The gradual change in the view from moonlight to sunrise was beautiful, and it was really interesting to see what was unloaded at each of the island stops.Written September 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NHjoSaco, ME8,646 contributionsWe took a walk and enjoyed the late September sunset views of the sailboats, ferries, and islands. There were also a few huge cruise ships in the nearby port just around the corner.Written September 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Voyage51379023717North Conway, NH2 contributionsEven on a cool day in March, the old port is great to visit. I love that it’s a real working waterfront along with all the wonderful shops, restaurants and condos occupied by local residents. The vibes are great. Most of the historic brick buildings in this area have been repurposed and occupied by thriving businesses. It’s a terrific place. Good food at the Portland Lobster Company.Written March 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DonnaRedding, CA146 contributionsWe really enjoyed getting to go up into the observatory and look out over Portland, Maine. The volunteers that man the tower are all exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful (they even gave us great advice for other attractions and the best restaurants). There were 4 senior citizens in our group and they were all able to climb the 100 steps up into the tower. What really helps is that on each level (about 30 stairs) there is a rest station and historical posters.Written October 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NHjoSaco, ME8,646 contributionsWe went for a walk at Eastern Promenade on a mid-February day that was almost 55 degrees. The view of Casco Bay was beautiful. The water was a silvery blue in some parts.Written February 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MaureenBostonMABoston, MA12 contributionsI had no idea that Portland had so many more islands than my native Boston Harbor -- I think our guide said almost 1,000 islands! I think many uninhabited, but there were so many to explore and some were lively tourist spots.Written June 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 3000caloriesBuffalo, NY920 contributionsWe really enjoyed our time here. We did a box for our large family and everything was great. The people working here made sure we had everything we needed and followed up as requires. The seating is perfect and the box is kept clean. It was easy to get up to it and down. Food isn’t amazing but is good enough. Also fun with the mascot interaction.Written August 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DannyWassermanVirginia Beach, VA4,248 contributionsStunning views of the Waterfront plastered with family shopping, seafood restaurants, and tugboats/ferries/sailboats/fishing boats. Its a mile and a half of fun in the sun with lots to do. Ps, the seafood is really good too.Written September 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michelle34 contributionsWe went in to check out merchandise. Lots of options for purchase. Seemed primarily to be selling gear. We didn’t drink or sample any of the beers. We have had them before and the pumpkin beer is popular. Curious about the smashed pumpkin but 9% abv was more than what we were looking for at that time of day.Written October 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
