      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Pitch Perfect 3 strains to recapture the magic that helped the original spawn a franchise, but ends up sending this increasingly unnecessary trilogy out on a low note.

RHFA Z universal you coward gimme that bechloe kiss™ and pp4 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/09/24 Full Review Andy S Two references to the American Calamity sneaked into the movie are nauseating and ruined it for me. The crumpled "Trump" hat on one performer, the "Make America Eat Again" shtick is a Hogan's Heroes-level shoutout to the most lethal era in Amerian history, the closest we came to national demise. I mean, Trump killed a half-million Americans says the British medical journal Lancet. Let's not make light of his evil. Semi-decent at the onset, Nazis spoiled it for me. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/21/24 Full Review Deshantee W The movie kinda has a lot going on in it, I don't really like how they're just continuously downing the Bella's and putting them in a bad light, but besides that it's definitely by far my favorite beginning out of all of them Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/08/24 Full Review Ben H This is a pretty good ending to an amazing series. Everyone finds out what they are going to do as a career or to pass time, and they get to say their final goodbyes to each other with a heartwarming performance. The only thing I'll say is that you have to watch through some boring parts to get to the good parts, but this is the same for Pitch Perfect 2. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Still enjoy the music part of it but really stretching for the story behind the music on this one. Udita Jhunjhunwala Livemint Pitch Perfect 3 does have elements that reconnect you to the charm of the original idea, but it's so out of tune that you are almost thankful for the final curtain call. Jul 29, 2019 Full Review Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express The third round of the Bellas is basically a bland, very-occasionally-bubbling-to-the-surface, not-enough-laughs comedy. Rated: 2/5 Jun 26, 2019 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com I also really liked the closing musical number quite a little bit, and if Pitch Perfect 3 ends up being the Bellas' a cappella swan song, for my part I can't help but feel the entire group goes out on something of a satisfying high note. Rated: 2.5/4 Dec 28, 2017 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy The strain is showing in this third entry, with too many of the characters placed in developmental holding patterns and too much of the storyline given over to daft contrivances. Rated: 2.5/4 Nov 22, 2021 Full Review Kip Mooney College Movie Review What's disappointing about this outing is that Trish Sie ... is one of the most innovative music video directors of the last decade, yet doesn't bring any of that visual flair. Rated: C+ Aug 24, 2021 Full Review Michael J. Casey Michael J. Cinema Nothing is sufficiently fleshed out, and no one really cares. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 13, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
