Certainly one of the best public schools in the Bay Area. Very involved families and community with a significant fundraising arm that appears to help make up the significant shortfall from the state. A few years ago an impressive STEAM building was built along with a performing arts center. It is a small campus and unfortunately lacks communal hang out spaces for the kids. Most scatter around the school and park for lunch during the day.
Issues are with keeping and finding good/great faculty. Overall my kids are happy here and I think they are getting a pretty great education and are going to be fairly prepared for college.

The teachers are so caring and genuinely want to see their students succeed. The administration, school board, and district office workers earn a ridiculous salary and don't seem to care about the students or teachers. I would like to see a complaint system implemented, and I would like students to be able to vote for board members and be able to vote to remove board members.
Piedmont High School is a very competitive school that focuses on academics. Most of my teachers helped me if I was struggling. Academics are strong and sports for me was fun and a way to make friends. The environment on campus is safe.
