Pete Gosar was a Democratic candidate for Governor of Wyoming in the 2014 elections.[1] Pete Gosar lost the general election on November 4, 2014.

Originally from Pinedale, Wyo., Gosar was raised in his home state and eventually attended the University of Wyoming, where he received his bachelor's degree in secondary education.[2]

Gosar has worked as a teacher and commercial pilot. He served as Treasurer of the Wyoming State Board of Education, in a term that started in 2011 and was set to expire in 2017.[2]

In addition to his degree in secondary education, Gosar holds an Associate's in Aviation Technology from San Juan Community College.[2]

Gosar ran for election to the office of Governor of Wyoming.[1] Gosar won the Democratic nomination in the unopposed primary on August 19, and faced Republican incumbent Matt Mead, Libertarian Party candidate Dee Cozzens and independent candidate Don Wills in the general election on November 4, 2014.
