When Sir Patrick Hepburn "The Fair" 3rd Earl of Hepburn was born in January 1512, in Lanarkshire, Scotland, his father, Lord Adam Hepburn -2nd Earl of Bothwell, was 29 and his mother, Lady Agnes Stewart -Dowager Countess Of Bothwell, was 25. He married Lady Agnes Sinclair -Countess of Bothwell in 1533. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He registered for military service in 1531. He died in September 1556, in Dumfries, Dumfriesshire, Scotland, at the age of 44.
