Patricia "Patsy" Patrick, 87, of South Scranton, passed away Tuesday evening at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jack Patrick.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late James and Amelia Scholl Jordan, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Patsy worked as a bookbinder for Haddon Craftsmen and Herff Jones until her retirement. She was a member of the German-American Society and previous member of the Singers Guild of Scranton, now the Choral Society of Northeast Pennsylvania. She also acted for the Actors Circle at Providence Playhouse. She was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Parish.
Patsy was a loving wife and mother. She was a generous friend and animal lover. For 25 years, she enjoyed traveling in her motorhome with her husband and dogs up and down the east coast, from Nova Scotia to South Carolina. Their favorite place to travel was to Myrtle Beach. Patsy had said that the trip of her lifetime was her trip to Ireland with her daughter. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
The family would like to thank nurse Rich from the Geisinger CMC Cardiac unit and the staff at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their kindness and compassion.
Also surviving are a daughter, Patricia Patrick-Rowe and husband, Russell, North Carolina; and her beloved English Setter, Belle.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Scholl; and a sister, Lois Eskin.
The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Nicholas Chomko Funeral Home, 1132 Prospect Ave., South Scranton, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, St. Paul of the Cross Parish, 1217 Prospect Ave., Scranton, by Monsignor Joseph G.
