For more information, please visit https://parks.canada.ca/pn-np/ab/jasper/visit/routes-roads The Patricia Lake North Trail is a cute and easy trail, with lots of beautiful views through the trees. There are a few clearings to admire the lake and mountains in the background. The woods at the start is really pretty and makes the hike lovely. There is a clearing 3/4 way through and a meadow with a view that is breathtaking. During the spring, the meadow has spring flowers and the view over the lake is gorgeous. You can sit on the rocks for quite some time just taking it all in. There are not many people on site and the sounds of the birds across the lake is lovely.

Nice hike

August 31, 2023Hiking

Didn’t see much, small view of the lake

August 23, 2023Hiking

Not much to see. Although the trail follows the lake for quite a while, it's not really visible.

Nice little trail run if you’re staying nearby…probably more exciting trails in the area if you have to drive more than 10 mins, but it has a nice mix of shade, sun, and views along Patricia Lake. And one of the only trails I’ve been on here where I didn’t see another person.

Bring Mosquito repellent! There’s lots of skeets! The lower side of the loop is also quite muddy be careful.

Nice trail Not much to see We stopped at the pyramid beach right before reaching the car, that was nice

Take bug spray and water and wear trail shoes to handle the Rocky root-y places. Turn left and walk along the road part of the trail first to get to some sweet little picnic spots along the lake. The trail ends in a large stand of aspens.

Nice hike through woods. No overlooks

April 29, 2023Hiking

Good and solid, no snow, and freshly cleaned of most deadfall. Some at the 2.2km marker (going clockwise) that requires some minor bush walking around.

Nice walk in the early spring. Trail is easy to traverse but the recent snow obscured it a bit

Ok, fairly easy walk, nice, tranquil, but not spectacular

A bit muddy and a few spots by lake a bit overgrown. Then opens up into meadows, marshes, and aspen groves. Beautiful little trail loop

I started this hike later in the day just to finish off my day without knowing much about it other than it was a short hike. The woods at the start were really pretty and the hike was nice and easy. Maybe 3/4 way through I came to a clearing and a meadow with a view that took my breath away - the meadow had spring flowers and the view over the lake was gorgeous - I sat on a rock for quite some time just taking it all in. No one else around and the sounds of the birds across the lake was so lovely. Extremely pleased I finished my day with this hike.

Conditions: Great!

05-16-22. Not a bad hike, but only half the hike has some views. Last 500 meters is all bush waking. Not really worth it.

Conditions: Blowdown, Muddy, Off trail, Over grown, Rocky

October 2, 2021Hiking

trail was good used mostly by horseback and bikes, lots of road apples, the end of the trail difficult to find but worth it

trail led through a path that was blocked off for nature conservation

A few trees fallen over the trail… but muddy but a nice walk in the trees on a rainy day

Aug 3rd. Started the trail at 7:00 pm in the summer night. Quite a bit of flies and mosquitoes. Walk through different kind of woodlands and reed lake. Bumped into a group of hard working volunteers laying down new trail away from muddy old trails. Fairly easy trail.

Too rough for a a stroller

Most of the muddy bits have dried up and it's a nice simple walk now. For being an "unmaintained trail" it's pretty clear and easy. Even was able to see a mother black bear and her cub on the far side of the marsh in the wildlife corridor area.

Nice easy trail. A bit muddy, but manageable. Beautiful lake!

February 29, 2020Hiking

Not bad. Starts at 6E just past the 3rd beach. The parking lot was ploughed in with snow so we couldn’t park there we had to park at pyramid beach instead and walk up to it. All in all a pretty decent bike for winter!

Conditions: Icy
