Matoma, Faith Evans & The Notorious B.I.G - Party On The West Coast (feat. Snoop Dogg) It's funny how big a difference one person can have on your life. I'll never forget the first time I heard Biggie, my big brother Dan played me Ready To Die and I never heard anything like it. I couldn't understand the words or the stories but I could feel them, his flow, the vibe, it changed me. A few years ago, with nothing but this same respect and love for such a legend, I took a Biggie acapella from YouTube and made "Old Thing Back" with my own inspirations, in my bedroom in Trondheim, mixed with just one speaker! Yesterday I just found out it achieved GOLD sales in America. The impact that this great man has had on me not only with the music that fueled me as a teenager but to this insane achievement in the beginning of my career, words can't describe. A couple months ago I got in touch with another legend Faith Evans and asked to put this collaboration together to celebrate Biggie's birthday. Her and her team are amazing, her voice and vibe is incredible, and now I'm honoured to share a song with her, the one and only Snoop Dogg and the legend who changed my life, like I think he changed so many lives, and to who I am always grateful.
