We chose this hotel as it was only 5 miles from Sandringham Estate which we were visiting. The hotel is in a quiet village and is one of the best we have stayed in. The staff were great so friendly and helpful. We had a large room with all the amenities we required and a large bathroom with bath and shower It is a large hotel with a large out door seating area. The found was first class with a good selection. We highly recommend it

this hotel is the most wonderful friendly place.if you have a severe disability or if you just need a little help getting up in a morning this is the place for you.
I have a condition called Muscular Dystrophy and am reliant on a wheelchair and a whole lot of other equipment .we thought we could never get as good a setting as our own home for the right care and equipment. We were wrong.

The whole staff from the chamber maids and cleaners right up to the management are the most helpful people.
there is 24 hour nursing staff available and nothing is too much bother and everything is dealt with in a very discreat manner if no one needs to know then thats how it is.

The hotel has a wonderful dining room and kitchen were the brilliant head chef Mike and his team create mouth watering meals. nothing is to much trouble.
The dining room staff are fantastic they are very patient and caring always have a smile for you and a kind word.

The rooms well there are twin rooms and single rooms available
8 of each so it's never too crowded.the bathroom have floor level showers and some rooms have baths and some even have both.all bedroom have electrically operated beds fantastic.
You can get everywhere in the hotel via automatic doors
the hotel is surrounded by trees and woodlands all accessable for a wheelchair .They also have 2 mini buses and a smaller van that take people sat in their wheelchairs.the hotel runs trips to local places of interest .we love the Sandringham tour thats a real must.
So if you thought going on holiday was a thing of the past .Forget that and try Park House you'll never look back,we haven't

I have just spent 2 nights here with my husband for our honeymoon. We were a little nervous about the level of care as my husband has cancer and is now in a wheelchair as he is paralysed. The home, its facilites and staff are all lovely. Turning my husband in the night, giving him a bath and all the other care required was no problem, we just wish we could have spent longer there. It's not cheap but then with all of the special facilites and nursing care required it wouldn't be.
Before becoming ill we had been lucky enough to visit many 5 star hotels, in a different way this was one that would rate amongst those.
We hope to go back if well enough

Me and my sister took our other sister who has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair here in September. The staff here were very friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was excellent and the food was delicious, top standard. We also had a trip around the sandringham estate in a wheelchair adapted van. The room where my disabled sister stayed was very spacious and adaptable. We also were able to give her a bath which is located upstairs. They also had an outdoor swimming pool which we did not use but that was only because of the weather. Although me and my sister did all my sisters personal hygiene, there are registered nurses available 24 hours a day to assist with that care, all you have to do is press a bell and they come within 5 minutes. I would truly recommend it.

What ideal location in the surroundings of the Sandringham park. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Great location for wildlife and for that cut above. The disabled facilities our second to none, with outside pool (heated) with hoist.

I cannot recommend this place enough. My mother is very disabled and my father is active. This hotel gives my father some respite. They cater for all my mothers needs as well as giving my father rest and relaxation in a beautiful house and grounds. The food is extremely good and caters morning coffee afternoon tea in the conservatory or listening to a jazz concert on the terrace! Nothing is to much trouble for the staff. Thay put a whole programme of trips and entertainment in the evenings. Most importantly my mother feels happy comfortable and so well cared for and I feel secure in the knowledge that both my parents benefit from this amazing hotel. Jo. C

I
From start of the holiday to finish of the holiday was Amazing!! from the greeting at reception to the Full Care Package responsiveness was excellent all the way through my stay. I am amazed at the quality of the team effort which makes Park House Unique. They deserve an award for what they do to go that extra mile to make your holiday. All care needs are dealt with discreetly and with confidence. My Gluten Free diet was catered for with respect and the puddings were to die for!! (Just check before you go Gluten Free cereal on menu). 4 day trips to offer to suit all tastes. My bedroom was small but substantial for my needs and very comfortable and I made lots of new friends with going on my own and taking the opportunity to shop with the aid of a carer from Park House and I made a lovely friend who was a returning guest and we have stayed in touch and I am arranging again to go next October to the Shopoholics week. Well Done Park House for making my holiday so special. Roll on October 2018!!

I have been here for lunch a number of times and find the food and surroundings are great. I guess most people seeing that it is a Hotel for people with disabilities fail to appreciate that it is open to non residents looking for a quiet, quality venue to have a good lunch.
Park House was the home of Dianne Princess of Wales and later donated by The Queen for use as a Hotel for the disabled. The prices are very reasonable and compare very well with the restaurant in Sandringham House. My understanding is that you have to book, it,'s worth it.

I've been to the hotel a few times because of its location and facilities it provides for disabled people (I have muscular dystrophy). However, I feel like the hotel has deteriorated because of a change in management, the attitude of some of its staff and a tired programme of trips and entertainment.

The trips are the same week in, week out (apart from a few themed weeks): a couple of trips to garden centres, a trip to Kings Lynn, a drive around the estate. This seems such a shame when there are so many beautiful nearby places to explore. The evening entertainment is also exactly the same every week: a quiz and some local singers singing songs from the seventies.

The care staff are generally good, however, the office staff and other staff often have an inappropriate attitude to the guests. The doors are always locked by around 7pm and, if guests ask to go outside after this, it is met with complete amazement and a great deal of resistance. On a number of occasions, a member of staff has said very inappropriate things to me about my disability, which have been demeaning. When I complained about this, they completely dismissed me and left me feeling embarrassed and stupid.

This all creates an atmosphere which means it feels less like you are a paying guest and more like you are a resident of a nursing home without any independence. Such a shame because there are few other places with such good facilities for disabled people but it feels as though Park House Hotel has lost sight of the fact that it is, in fact, a hotel.

My husband needs full nursing care - and he got it:) Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile. A wonderful break for me as full time carer and for my husband who enjoyed all the attention. We are delighted to have found this refuge and shall certainly book again. The food was excellent too.

I think a roll-in shower stall is the same as a wet room? Some rooms have wet rooms and some have hoists. Yes they have grab rails. Many of the guests have large motorised wheel chairs so I can't see that it would be a problem. Yes there is ground floor access, no steps but also 2 elevators. I can't imagine you would have a problem but telephone and talk to them 01485 543000. All the staff are very helpful and they could get a member of the care team to call you back. Food is wonderful and they also do trips out Monday - Thursday. Hope this helps and enjoy if you go.
