This is a must musuem. Remarkable contents. I especially loved the wonderful gardens growing in the original moat :-)

The original construction dates back to the first century AD, but it has undergone multiple additions, reconstructions, re-modelings and updates. The tow principal residents were the regent Christine-Marie of France and Marie Jeanne of Savoy, from the 17th and 18th centuries. Richly decorated, inside and outside, it housed the First Senate of the Italian Kingdom. Since 1934 it is the site of the City Museum of Ancient Art, although most of the collection on exhibit is from the 18th century. Go figure!.

This is a wonderful looking building from the outside with it's large main square and fabulous architecture and rooftop style balcony. However, I did not venture inside due to the 10 euro asking price.

This is a cafe in the centre of turin affording good cakes and coffee but also allowing the visitor a chance to see a great collection of paintings, furniture and wonderful architecture. At the moment a wonderful show by a photographer insinuated in the space.

I had the pleasure of having lunch in a magnificent place, with a spectacular view. The North Veranda is very bright, well heated, low tables, comfortable armchairs. I opted for the classic menu which included 4 starters: Russian salad, boiled egg with a delicious sauce, veal with tuna sauce and raw salami. A beautiful and tasty Jerusalem artichoke and hazelnut lasagna as a first course and a textbook panna cotta, glass of wine and water. All at a cost of 20 euros, including the ticket to visit Palazzo Madama in all its splendor, from the Panoramic Tower to the basement with garden. The staff is young and kind, the service was fast although I would have preferred to use the tray to bring the drinks, more elegant than sticking them in the waitress' hands, and to have table linen for the tables too, which would have been more in line with the importance of the place.
