After a successful press tour of 5 Alameda elementary schools, the ACLC Drama Department is excited to share with you their full version of ONCE UPON A MATTRESS – APRIL 5, 6, and 7.
This musical is a hysterical retelling of the classic Princess and the Pea. Princess Winnifred is competing for the hand of Prince Dauntless whose mother Queen Aggravain has decreed that no one in the kingdom shall marry before Dauntless finds a royal bride.
Filled with lively musical numbers and witty dialogue, “Once Upon a Mattress” explores themes of love, acceptance, and the importance of breaking free from societal expectations. The musical celebrates individuality and challenges the traditional fairy tale narrative with humor and charm.
