I think this is a great choice as she’s likely to be hilarious and chaotic but with a real human and empathetic side too. I think the contestants will love her!
I think she will bring back a lot of the warmth that has been missing. I'm excited for her!
If the Harrison Ford interview, and the "knocking someone into a harbour" incidents are anything to go by then they've a pretty good choice!
Perfect summary of what Alison is like! I am so looking forward to this!
Edit: here's the link to the Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling interview. They could barely talk about the movie!
Thank you for posting the link. That was hilarious! Noel has a funny playmate!
They would be SO FUN together!
Noel is going to break so god damn much
Oh my god that was so chaotic I loved it
Amazing! God I hate cookie cutter interviews, but that one was so brilliant and fun
Wow, anyone who get Harrison Ford going like that is going to absolutely brilliant on Bake Off.
I remember that interview that was so funny. Morning TV in the UK is so chaotic haha
Just based on that clip I'm excited to see her be on the show, that was hysterical
Holy shit that was so funny to watch
Oh my gosh she is perfect! Yes, I’m looking forward to seeing her on the show.
Great clip! Thanks
I didn't mind Matt much as a presenter, though his bit was getting stale. I also hope the producers jettison the "country" themes; IMHO, there should never be another Mexican week or anything like that.
The pronunciations were so bad.
I get that they're British, but you think they would have at least asked an American about the tacos
Or collaborate with actual Mexican chefs; there are Michelin-ranked Mexican chefs in Europe if they didn't want to pay to fly someone to Mexico.

I guess I'll stick around in this sub from that testimony!!

Oh thank you for your hard work then. I'll check out the other sub when things calm down a bit (I assume it's going to start back up again when her first episode airs)
Honestly, matt made me laugh.... exactly one time. I don't get him. I welcome someone new.
I thought that by the end of the last season all of the jokes were just bits about who would say the time or something and it got pretty old pretty quick
Oh I love her! I think she’s going to be wonderful.
We won y’all.
🙌
Looking forward to the next season!
I like her, however do wonder how she will work with Noel
I think they’re gonna get the giggles
Liked Matt, gonna miss Matt. Love Alison and can't wait for the new series.
Good choice.
BRING. BRACK. SANDI.
I don’t think she’s going to come back….
You can still get your Sandi fix from QI and the brilliant The Great Big Tiny Design Challenge :)
Or go and see one of her operas
I loved Sandi but I remember reading that she left on purpose because she couldn't stand doing the job anymore lol
I didn’t know that. Wow that sad. She and Noel were excellent together.
All right I looked it up so as not to spread disinfo, she quit because she wanted to work on other stuff but she did love everyone lol https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2020/jan/16/sandi-toksvig-quits-great-british-bake-off
Yeah, Sandi has a lot of fingers in pies!
Wow is! I love her, I think she’s going to be great
That interview was a riot. Looking forward to her being on GBBO
I hadn't heard of her before but I watched the Harrison Ford interview. She seems a lively person but I'm not sure she'll be a good fit with Noel.
Other's have said that a comedy duo needs a straight man. From what I've seen, I don't know if either will be able to fill that job but I think it'll be fun to see what happens.
THANK GOD.
I don't know who she is. She's very annoying. I couldn't get past the first episode and I'm sad because I've been watching this show since the beginning. I think she's awful. And what's her qualifications? She's a "tv personality" which I interpret as "got their fame in reality tv". In this case Big Brother. I'm not a massive fan of "tv personalities". I could already tell her chemistry witn Noel was way off. So disappointed I'm going to miss this seaoson but she's just way too annoying for me. I wish they'd just let Noel Fielding be a single act.
I also find her excruciatingly annoying but I've persevered and thankfully, by the 3rd episode she's toned down a lot and is starting to bounce quite well off of Noel. Not sure I'm ever gonna be a fan and I don't think her loud, brash style fits the show but she's not hampering my enjoyment of the show any more at least 😊
I'm so excited for this! She just looks friendly and lovely.
